Functions:

• Coordinate with Reasearch Units of the Faculties, to achieve the inclusion of teachers and students in the UNALM reasearch system, through their participation in research teams.
• Advise researchers and members of the university community in the presentation of research projects for internal and external competitive funding.
• Coordinate, elaborate and propose the bases for reasearch competitions or others organized by the Vice-Rectorate for Research.
• Guide, coordinate, projects and activities developed by underfraduate programs as formative research, and research teams within the research system of the UNALM.
• Support Research Management Directorate in the development of efecctive management of the research system.
• Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency of the university’s research activities, employing the research evaluation system.
• Coordinate, develop and propose policies, strategies and standards that facilitate reasearch activities at UNALM.
• Coordinate with the agencies in cherge of formulating the national science, technology and R&D&I policy, on aspects related to its competence.
• Establish links with national and internacional institutions for the development of resears activities.
• Integrate the following systems: institutional quality management, information and communications, environmental, integral security, research, business development and entrepreneurship, and administration.
