Functions:

• Propose, develop, and disseminate policies, strategies, and regulations that promote inventive activity, the institucionalisation of intellectual property, and technology transfer at UNALM, in order to enhancee the benefits of R+D+i activities for society and the productive sector.
• Promote and develop a culture of respect and use of intellectual property amorg members of the UNALM university community who conduct R+D+i activities independently or in collaboration.
• Define and implement the most appropriate strategies for the protection of intellectual property rigth and the technology tranfer of the resultd of experimental or technological development conducted by members of the UNALM university community.
• Create investment and collaboration spaces based on intellectual property assets, with special consideration of patents, to promote technological innovation and positively impact society and the productive sector through various modes of technology transfer.
• Organise events to promote the registration and management of intellectual property and provide guidance to UNALM members.
• Establish and manage the portfolio of intellectual assets derived from UNALM’s R+D+i activities that can be transferred to various productive sectors.
• Evaluate and promote the advancement of technological scaling of tecnologies developed at UNALM to facilite their tranfer, providing support in market studies, business plan formulation, and sourcing of funfing.
• Support the valorisation of UNALM’s intellectual property assets and actively participate in the negotation processes of licences or other forms of commercialisation.
• Manage the technology tranfer and intellectual property of the results of collaborative R+D+i projects and contracts in which UNALM participates.
• Establish guidelines for the use of institucional intangibles by technology-based campanies.
• Promote the use of technological surveillance and intelligence tools for strategic decision-making in R+D+i and the stregtheming of the inventive activity of the members of the UNALM university community.
• Promote the signing of authorisations and contracts for access to genetic resources and obtain authorisation for the use of traditional knowledge, where applicable.
• Coordinate with relevant instances the planning, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of techonology transfer and intellectual property actions at the university.
